ANPE (Agence Nationale de Protection de l'Environnement) is the state body for the protection of natural habitats in Tunisia, and the leader in the first-ever functional local wetlands observatory in the Mediterranean – for the Ichkeul lake since 2003.

 

Les amis des oiseaux - BirdLife International Tunisia - was founded in 1977 with the mandate to protect birds, both resident and migratory.

 

 

 

 

A Rocha Lebanon was founded in 1996 with the initial focus to save the Aammiq marshes from destruction. The Aammiq Wetland is Lebanon's most significant remaining natural freshwater site, one of all too few in the Middle East and it is now a designated Ramsar site.

BirdLife International Secretariat is a global alliance of conservation organisations working together for the world's birds and people.

 

 

 

 

 

CIHEAM - International Centre for Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies - is an intergovernmental organisation founded in 1962. Its main fields of activity are Mediterranean agriculture, food and sustainable rural development.

 

 

 
Doğa Derneği seeks to protect Turkey's bird species, Important Bird Areas, Key Biodiversity Areas and priority habitats, trough a national network grassroots.

  

Ege Üniversitesi Turkey, is a great educational institution with 500 training and research laboratories and one of the seven Turkish universities awarded with Diploma Supplement Label in 2009 by European Commission.

 

 

The Environment Quality Authority's mission in Palestine is to safeguard and protect the environment and human health, control and limit the degradation of natural resources, combat desertification, prevent further pollution, enhance environmental awareness and ensure environmentally sustainable development.

 

 

 

 

 

European Space Agency provide and promote cooperation among European States in space research and technology and their space applications, exclusively for peaceful purposes, with a view to their being used for scientific purposes and for operational space applications systems.

 EKBY

Greek Biotope / Wetland Centre (EKBY) is a non-profit institute for research, public awareness, information, and education in the conservation of the natural environment.

  Institut Scientifique de Rabat was created in 1920 and his activities are mainly focused on fundamental research. They concern the sciences of the Nature and aim at making inventories on natural resources inMorocco, in accordance with the national priorities about natural heritage preservation, environment, education and development.

 

ZSL

 

Institute of Zoology of London is a research centre working at the cutting edge of conservation biology, specialising in scientific issues relevant to preserving animal species and their habitats.

 

  

Israël Nature and Parks Authority (INPA) currently operates 58 national parks and nature reserves throughout the country. The subjects under INPA responsibility are varied like endangered animals, campgrounds, trees, mosaics, wildflowers, archaeology...

 

 

 

IUCN Centre for Mediterranean Cooperation in Malaga has more than 160 members in the region. His goal is to influence, encourage and assist Mediterranean societies in achieving both the conservation and sustainable use of natural resources, and sustainable development.

   

Med-INA aims to contribute to a harmonious relationship between Anthropos (Mankind) and Nature, by working on the interface between the two, particularly in the Mediterranean Region, through research, action and public awareness.

 

The Royal Society for Conservation of Nature aims to conserve the biodiversity of Jordan and integrate its conservation programs with socio-economic development, while promoting wider public support and action for the protection of the natural environment within Jordan and neighboring countries.

 

 

Society for the Protection of Prespa (Greece) maintain and strengthen the relationship between people and nature in the region and to preserve the naturaand cultural heritage of Prespa for the benefit of its inhabitants.

Tour du Valat is a research centre  for the conservation of Mediterranean wetlands since more than 50 years in Camargue. It has been developing for many years programmes of research and integrated management that promote interchanges between wetland users and scientists.

UNEP / MAP / Blue Plan is a Mediterranean environment and sustainable development observatory and centre for prospective analyses and studies.

 

 

UNEP / MAP - RAC / SPA - the Regional Activity Centre for Specially Protected Areas - was established in Tunis in 1985. His mission is to provide assistance to Mediterranean countries in the implementation of their commitments, especially in regard to developing and promoting Specially Protected Areas and reducing the loss of marine and coastal biodiversity.

 

UNEP/ Secretariat of the BIP2010 Partnership is a global initiative to track progress towards achieving the "2010 biodiversity target" to significantly reduce the rate of biodiversity loss by 2010.

 

UNEP / WCMC is a collaboration between the United Nations Environment Programme and WCMC 2000, a UK-based charity. His mission is To evaluate and highlight the many values of biodiversity and put authoritative biodiversity knowledge at the centre of decision-making.

 

 

Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona / European Topic Centre on Land Use and Spatial Information (ETC-LUSI) is supporting the European Environment Agency in monitoring the land use/land cover change in Europe and analyzing the environmental consequences.

 

 

Wetlands International is a global organisation that works to sustain and restore wetlands and their resources for people and biodiversity.

 

WWF Mediterranean Programme is the leading organization in wildlife conservation and endangered species focuses on countries bordering the Mediterranean, as well as Jordan, Macedonia and Portugal.
